I hope you enjoy taking a brief trip inside my mind and how I see the world. I'll try to post here on a regular basis. No promises though 😅

Social media can create unrealistic expectations for most of us to live up to. I know that in my own life, I can easily become overwhelmed by everything that I'm "supposed to be" doing or how far I have left to go before I can reach a point where I am proud of my accomplishments.
I know how easy it is to compare where I'm at to where other people are at and feel completely discouraged. I know that everything I want to do is going to take a lot longer than the average person because I am doing it on my own without any real help, support, or reassurance (3 things the average successful person takes for granted after they've hit important life milestones).
We live in a world where teenagers become millionaires overnight with their social media platforms. Where you're a weirdo if you make your own coffee at home instead of spending $25 at a local or commercial coffee shop. Where you're a failure if you're living at home with family in your 30's. Where people obsess over their favorite celebrities and know every detail that is made available to the public but can't remember the names of the most influential teachers (or students) they've had throughout school years and/or early life.
What I'm saying is: we have gotten so far away from REALITY that so many of us are not able to survive or function without these silly and frivolous things that we convince ourselves we need. Money, fame, power, and success. We NEED these things or we will suffer, right? We need these things to be considered winners because we haven't yet mastered how to take every single loss that comes our way and still go on with our lives.
The truth is, what we need is water and food. We genuinely NEED these things or we will die. So why don't we all take a few moments to bring ourselves back down to Earth a bit & remind ourselves what's actually important:
• a new day to wake up to with breath in our lungs and the courage to do something different
• a healthy vessel to carry & transport our souls
• food, water, and sunshine to grow & thrive
If you're striving for anything else, you're trapping yourself inside of the stress that you're spending all your time & money trying to escape from.
